Wordless Wednesday

Sci Fi Dad’s post today - Of Trucks and Gender inspired my choice for today’s photo

03mar06

This is from March of my 2008 Photo a Day project. These were the boys’ favorite books at the time. One copy of Happy Baby Things that Go and two copies of My First Truck Book.  These were actually copies 3 & 4 of those books, the first 2 having been read to pieces in the previous couple years.

Books that literally get read to pieces are very special indeed.

Thanks for the link.

Our copy is the size of your big one, but has the cover with a dump truck (labeled with the word "dump truck").

I liked that "read to pieces" description - mine were usually "eaten to pieces" by my little ones.

Hello there, finally finding time to catch up after I've been away :-) Please forgive me not commenting on each post individually (I can't quite face having to log in every single time) so here's a once-for-all comment! First up, congrats to the new orange belts x And I love that you can look back over previous years' Project 365 pics, I really look forward to doing that! As for the kids getting into sport thing, I am totally with you on that. The Boy isn't remotely sporty, much to The Doctor's disappointment, but to my sneaky and slightly guilty relief. The Girl likes going to football matches (sorry, soccer!) which works for me, 'cos The Doctor can take her, get his fill of father and child bonding over sports, and I get quality time with my son! But I found regular ballet class tough and was so pleased when that ended. Swimming, not so bad - and I'm not forced to watch every splash, so I can get my German homework done. I think I'd better stop now lol - is there a character limit on these comments?!
