It’s my favorite day of the year!

International Star Wars day!

In honor of that here are some of my very favorite star wars quotes. If you follow me on Twitter you might see some of them today in some form or another

Darth Vader: I find your lack of faith disturbing. (I use this one on the boys all the time when they demand to see that the cookie jar really is empty when I say it is)

Govener Tarkin: You’re far to trusting (Also useful re: cookies)

Han Solo: Uh, we had a slight weapons malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you? (Actually used by Havoc last week when I shouted down the hall to them after hearing a crash)

Han Solo: Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. (popular around the house)

Obi Wan: These are not the droids you are looking for. Move along. (most popular in the house, substituting various items, often cookies)

Princess Leia : If money is all that you love, then that's what you'll receive.(gets some use, with random things, like cookies, replacing money)

Obi Wan: Use the Force Luke!

Random people in every movie: I have a bad feeling about this

Han Solo: Traveling though hyperspace ain’t like dusting crops boy (as an analogy when someone oversimplifies things)

Han Solo: Maybe you’d like it back in your cell your Worship (when someone whines or complains too much)

Yoda: Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. (only we say “your” and direct it toward whoever is getting sidetracked from the task at hand)

Darth Vader: I’ve altered the deal. Pray I don’t alter it further (useful in disciplinary situations)

Princess Leia: I love you  Han Solo: I know. (I always get all choked up with that one)

Han Solo: Jeez, I'm out of it for a little while, everyone gets delusions of grandeur!

Plus a number of others from a show called Star Wars Robot Chicken that includes, among other things, Take Your Daughter to Work day, for stormtroopers

What is your favorite Star Wars or other movie quote?

May the 4th be with you!

love that there is a starwars day. Have you used the forced reentry dingbats font - all starwars characters - you can download free - can't remmeber where from but sure google will know!

Great post.

I once used, "Do or do not; there is no try" on my then four year old daughter, but my wife thought it was a bad idea to discourage her from trying.

I also use "These are not the droids you're looking for" with my kids.

Since neither has seen the movies yet, my options are limited. I'm sure once they've seen them I will have more to share.

The Doctor and I often say 'You have failed me for the last time, Admiral' to each other :-) May the Fourth be with you! xx
